El titular de la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), Alonso Lujambio, aseguró que en la aplicación de la Evaluación Nacional del Logro Académico en Centros Escolares (Enlace) no se está comparando lo que no se puede equiparar ni se pretende realizar equiparaciones inapropiadas. Afirmó que se trata de un instrumento valioso, pertinente y con utilidad social que mide habilidades y destrezas, no conocimientos específicos.
En respuesta a las declaraciones del rector de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), José Narro Robles, quien rechazó que esa casa de estudios participe en la aplicación de Enlace y en la integración de un sistema nacional de bachillerato, como parte de la Reforma Integral a la Educación Media Superior (RIEMS), el funcionario señaló que la dependencia es respetuosa de la autonomía de la UNAM y de las expresiones de su rector, las cuales reconoció no comparto, pero aseguró que seremos respetuosos, porque estamos en una democracia donde hay distintos puntos de vista.
Al concluir la sesión ordinaria del Consejo Nacional de la Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUIES), en la que se entregó un reconocimiento especial a la UNAM por haber sido galardonada este año con el premio Príncipe de Asturias, enfatizó que el sistema nacional de bachillerato no supone la creación de un modelo único en ese nivel, pues lo que se busca es ordenar la diversidad y evitar la atomización que afecta a los mexicanos y al sistema educativo nacional.
Tras los señalamientos del rector de la UNAM, quien consideró que ese sistema en bachillerato busca homologar la educación, mientras que Enlace no toma en cuenta las diferencias socioeconómicas de los alumnos, Lujambio afirmó que la prueba trata de transparentar el sistema educativo nacional y dejar a la sociedad que eventualmente haga evaluaciones sistemáticas de lo que sí es estrictamente comparable.
Ante integrantes del consejo de la ANUIES, entre ellos, Narro Robles, el funcionario agregó que el sistema nacional de bachillerato es respetuoso de la diversidad de los modelos existentes. En el encuentro, Trinidad Padilla López, diputado priísta y presidente de la Comisión de Educación y Servicios Educativos de la Cámara de Diputados, reconoció que para el año próximo no se logró un incremento sustantivo en materia presupuestal para el sector, pues destacó que con la reasignación de recursos extraordinarios por 9 mil 401 millones de pesos se alcanzó una inversión de 0.67 por ciento del producto interno bruto, una centésima más que el gasto aprobado en 2009.
Al presentar un balance de los recursos que se destinarán a las universidades públicas a partir de enero, afirmó que si bien no hubo avances se logró revertir la tendencia de recorte presupuestal y mantenerse en la línea de flotación y un poco más arriba. Agregó que de los 14 mil millones de pesos adicionales para el sector educativo, 3 mil 984 se canalizaron a educación básica y 750 millones más a la formación media superior.
